About[]

The M2 Bradley was introduced to the U.S. Army and entered service in 1981. It was designed to replace the Vietnam War-veteran, the M113, as the U.S. Army's primary armored infantry carrier. It was also designed to not just deliver troops in battle safer, but to destroy enemy tanks, with it's two TOW wire-guided anti-tank missile launchers. It's 25mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun can take out pockets of hostile infantry and lightly-armored vehicles. It was designed to counter the two Soviet infantry fighting vehicles, the BMP-1 and BMP-2. One upgraded variant has already been introduced and is now in service, the M2A1. The next variant, the M2A2, is currently being worked on.
